Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment, purchasing a service, attending a class, workshop, retreat or immersion, purchasing a product, or otherwise engaging with Alana Marie Holistic Healing, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Alana Marie Holistic Healing is committed to providing a safe, respectful and supportive environment. These terms are designed to ensure that both you and the business understand our respective responsibilities.

1. Our Services

Alana Marie Holistic Healing provides holistic wellbeing and personal development services, which may include massage and bodywork, energy work, hypnotherapy, breathwork, meditation, nervous system regulation, coaching, workshops, retreats, immersions and related wellbeing experiences.

Our services are intended to support relaxation, self-awareness, wellbeing and personal development.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, our services are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, allied health or other professional healthcare.

You should seek appropriate medical or professional advice where required.

2. Individual Experiences

Every person responds differently to holistic and wellbeing practices.

While we take reasonable care to provide a safe and supportive experience, individual outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

You are responsible for communicating any relevant information that may affect your ability to safely participate in a service, including relevant medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy, medications, allergies, physical limitations or other circumstances that may be relevant to your participation.

You are welcome to ask questions or raise concerns before or during your session.

You should stop participating in any activity if you feel unwell, unsafe or unable to continue and tell your practitioner or facilitator.

3. Booking and Payment

Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received or otherwise confirmed by Alana Marie Holistic Healing.

Prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.

Payment methods and payment timeframes may vary depending on the service.

Prices may change from time to time. The price applicable at the time of your confirmed booking or purchase will generally apply.

4. Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Shows

Our cancellation and rescheduling requirements are set out in our separate Cancellation Policy.

By making a booking, you acknowledge and agree to the Cancellation Policy applicable to that service.

Nothing in the Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. Retreats, Workshops and Group Experiences

Specific terms may apply to retreats, workshops, classes and other group experiences, including payment schedules, minimum numbers, cancellation arrangements and changes to advertised programs.

Where specific terms are provided for a particular event, those terms will apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.

Alana Marie Holistic Healing reserves the right to make reasonable changes to an event, including changes to timing, activities, facilitators or location where circumstances require.

If Alana Marie Holistic Healing needs to cancel an event, participants will be contacted and any applicable refund or alternative arrangement will be communicated at that time.

6. Respect and Appropriate Behaviour

All clients, participants, practitioners, facilitators and visitors are expected to contribute to a safe and respectful environment.

Abusive, threatening, intimidating, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, aggressive or otherwise unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.

Alana Marie Holistic Healing reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services where a person’s behaviour creates an unsafe or inappropriate environment.

7. Confidentiality

We respect the personal nature of the information shared during sessions.

Information provided to us will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy obligations.

Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required or permitted by law, or where there is a serious and immediate concern regarding someone’s safety.

8. Personal Information

We collect and use personal information for purposes including managing bookings, providing services, communicating with you, processing payments and administering our business.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information and how you can access or correct information we hold about you.

9. Intellectual Property

Content provided by Alana Marie Holistic Healing, including written materials, programs, workbooks, recordings, photographs, videos, website content, branding and other resources, remains the intellectual property of Alana Marie Holistic Healing unless otherwise stated.

You may use materials provided to you for your own personal use.

You must not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, modify or commercially use our materials without written permission.

10. Website Content

We aim to ensure that information provided on this website is accurate and current. However, information is provided for general informational and educational purposes and may change over time.

We do not guarantee that every piece of website content will always be complete, current or error-free.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Where the Australian Consumer Law provides you with rights or guarantees, those rights continue to apply.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal requirements.

The most current version will be published on our website.

Client Code of Conduct:

At Alana Marie Holistic Healing, we believe healing work requires safety, trust, respect and personal responsibility.

Our studio and the spaces in which we work are intended to be welcoming, inclusive and supportive environments.

To protect the wellbeing of everyone involved, all clients and participants are expected to follow this Code of Conduct.

Respect is non-negotiable

We expect all clients and participants to communicate respectfully with Alana, practitioners, facilitators, other participants and anyone else involved in our services.

We do not tolerate:

Verbal abuse, yelling, shouting, intimidation or threatening behaviour

Bullying, harassment or discrimination

Aggressive, hostile or intimidating communication

Sexual comments, sexual harassment or inappropriate sexual behaviour

Unwanted physical contact

Deliberately inappropriate or invasive questioning

Disrespectful comments about another person’s body, identity, beliefs or personal circumstances

Repeatedly ignoring reasonable requests, boundaries or instructions

Behaviour that deliberately disrupts a session, class, workshop, retreat or other experience

Attending while significantly affected by alcohol or recreational drugs

Damage to property or deliberate interference with the safety or wellbeing of others

Any behaviour that causes another person to reasonably feel unsafe, threatened, harassed or uncomfortable

Consent and Personal Boundaries

Consent and personal boundaries are fundamental to the work we do.

You have the right to ask questions, communicate your boundaries and withdraw consent at any time during a session.

The same applies to practitioners and facilitators.

You are expected to respect any boundary communicated to you.

No client is entitled to physical contact, personal information, emotional labour or access to a practitioner beyond what is appropriate to the service being provided.

Communication

We understand that people may feel frustrated, emotional or overwhelmed at times.

You are welcome to raise concerns or provide feedback.

We ask that concerns are communicated directly and respectfully.

Abusive or threatening communication will not be accepted simply because it is delivered by email, text message, phone or social media rather than in person.

During Sessions and Experiences

Your practitioner or facilitator may pause, modify or end an activity if they believe continuing is inappropriate or unsafe.

You are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions and communicate honestly about anything that may affect your ability to participate safely.

You are responsible for letting us know if you need to stop, take a break or modify your participation.

If This Code Is Breached

If behaviour is inappropriate or concerning, we may:

Ask you to modify your behaviour.

Pause or end the session or activity.

Ask you to leave the premises or event.

Decline future bookings or participation.

Cancel future services where we reasonably believe this is necessary to protect the safety and wellbeing of our practitioner, facilitators, clients or participants.

Take further action where behaviour involves threats, violence, harassment, property damage or other unlawful conduct.

Where a service is ended because of unacceptable behaviour, any refund or payment outcome will be considered in accordance with the circumstances, the applicable service terms and your rights under Australian law.

A Safe Space Goes Both Ways

Creating a safe space is a shared responsibility.

You are never expected to tolerate behaviour that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, and neither are we.

We reserve the right to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and to protect the wellbeing of everyone who enters our space.

By booking or participating in a service with Alana Marie Holistic Healing, you agree to respect this Code of Conduct.

Cancellation policy

Please respect our business, time & money.

When booking any treatment with Alana Marie Holistic Healing, a 50% deposit may be required at time of booking. If cancellation occurs within 24hours of appointment time a 50% cancellation fee will apply & deposit may be forfeited.

With more than 24hours notice this deposit is able to be rescheduled to another appointment at the discretion of staff.

In the event that this is part of a package, an additional session may be required to be paid for on top of initial program costs.

In the event of a cancellation without notice or a no-show full payment may be required. If this policy is not adhered to by clients, you will not be rebooked.

Alana Marie Holistic Healing reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

By booking an appointment with Alana Marie Holistic Healing you are agreeing to this policy.
